2024 // Simple Things

NKFG’s Keinachtsbaum 2024 celebrates the simple things in life on many levels. For the sake of simplicity the search for this year’s tree took place in a real forest. And the creation of the motif goes back to a simple ritual that many of us probably have known since childhood – the stamp printing technique (a simplified and playful version of the offset printing process).

In this case a simple oak leaf was coated with ink and then stamped onto a white printing surface in various forms and variations. The resulting reprints of the leaf were then digitally processed and combined to create the final Christmas tree motif.

The art print of the card was realized on the environmentally friendly design paper Gmund Bio Cycle – Straw. It consists of up to 50% resource-saving wheat straw fibers, whose impurities also give the paper a uniquely natural look and feel.

All in all, simply great.
